Situated in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire and just a stone’s throw from LTP Integration’s offices, the Robert Davies Health and Fitness Centre opened its doors in August 2011.
Aiming to provide the ultimate exercise experience, the privately owned two-floor gymnasium offers a range of activities from free weight and cardio areas to state-of-the-art spin studios and sauna, steam and salt inhalation rooms.
With the owners of the contemporary health and wellbeing centre requesting an innovative audio-visual, lighting and sound scheme that would enhance its extensive facilities, both LTP Integration and sister company, Vaughan Sound were invited to work on this local project.
Utilising their expertise, the team would need to select solution-led technical equipment that was flexible, easy for staff to operate and complementary to the different fitness spaces.
Matching the modern aesthetic of the health and wellbeing venue, LTP Integration installed LED effects lighting within the main exercise areas, which incorporated the company’s brand colours of red, orange and green.
To create a visually vibrant centrepiece, the central atrium was fitted with Covershield fluorescent light sticks, which were hung vertically, with the surrounding balcony receiving LED strips to augment the effect.
With a selection of spaces featuring UV graffiti work, red plexineon and UV tubes were specifically supplied to accentuate the art.
Pre-programmed, simple to use RGB controllers were selected to manage the lighting components, each offering user-changeable options for flexibility.
Vaughan Sound was also able to enhance the energetic environment and provided the centre with a powerful zoned audio system, capable of tailoring sound to suit the different training sectors. Impressively, the system’s hard drive automatically updates on a monthly basis, adding new songs to the database from the user’s preferred genres.
Additionally, nine LCD screens, integrated with a media console designed to deliver promotional and exercise information, were included around the gym.
Together, LTP Integration and Vaughan Sound successfully equipped this local health and wellbeing centre with energy-efficient and cost-effective audio-visual, lighting and sound systems that accentuate the cutting edge facilities.
The Robert Davies Health and Fitness Centre, Llanelli now offers an immersive and atmospheric environment for gym-goers.
